The driving log
for business trips
in your own car

Akstur is a driving log (kjørebok) for Norway: every trip with date, from and to, kilometres, purpose and type, the odometer noted every month, and a year report shaped for your accountant. No account, no cloud, no ads, no subscription.

Akstur is Icelandic for driving — a sister app to Vegvísir and Smiðja.

Every trip accounted for, before anyone asks

One log per vehicle — and it keeps itself honest as you drive.

🚗

Two taps per trip

A new trip starts where the last one ended, with today’s date and the driver filled in. «Repeat last trip» and «Return trip» cover most of a working week. Type the odometer at start and end and the kilometres work themselves out.

📍

Saved places

Home, the office, your customers — they appear as suggestions and can carry a default purpose and type. Akstur never reads your location; you type where you drove.

📒

The fields in every trip

Date and time, start, destination, kilometres, purpose, and whether the trip is business, private or commute. The odometer is noted at least once a month, as the Norwegian tax guidance describes — Akstur reminds you.

🔍

A log that shows its own history

Nothing is deleted. A trip that should not be there is voided and stays, struck through. Every edit is recorded with its time, the old value and the new.

📊

Year overview with reconciliation

The odometer moved this much; the log explains this much. Akstur works out the gap and says so plainly. Split by business, private and commute, and the amount at the tax office’s per-kilometre rate for your vehicle.

📄

Year report, CSV and backup

The year report as PDF, ready for the tax office and the accountant. CSV of the whole log, and a separate file with only the business trips. Backup as one file you own; restoring merges and never deletes.

This is the part driving logs get wrong

A log that can be quietly corrected is worth little; one that shows its corrections is more credible than paper. In Akstur a trip that should not be there is voided and stays, struck through, and every edit is recorded with its time, the old value and the new — on the trip and in one combined change history.

The year overview reconciles the same way: the odometer moved this much, the log explains this much, and the gap is said out loud — in March, not in an audit.
