Akstur is looking for testers

Our driving log for Norway is in a closed test on Google Play. Leave your Play e-mail on the Akstur page and you get the link; the iPhone version is with Apple for review. Join the test →

Vegvísir 1.4.23 on both stores

Share a ride or the whole season as a picture, back up your rides to a file, and — if you like — say thank you with a one-time support key. Same app on Google Play and the App Store. What's new →

Kvitro is now on the App Store

Kvitro has crossed to iPhone. Same app, same five languages, same rule: no ads, no tracking, no account. Download on the App Store, or read more here.

Kvitro 1.3.3 — small fixes, and the app may ask for a rating

Settings now shows your unlock and remaining free scans the moment you open it, and the unlimited-scanning row takes you straight to the unlock. Saved receipts keep opening after a reinstall. After your third scan the app may ask, once, for a rating. Under the hood, a memory fix from the framework update.

Smiðja is out — on Google Play

A garage log for motorcyclists: service history, intervals, parts wear, fuel and the Nordic winter, all on your own phone. Your first bike is free; a one-time key opens the garage for more. Thank you to the riders who tested it — read about it here.

September 2026

Vegvísir is now on the App Store

Vegvísir has crossed to iPhone. Same app, same five languages, same rule: no ads, no tracking, no account. Download on the App Store, or read more here.

Kvitro 1.3.2 — a smaller download, nothing else changed

No new buttons this time. The app has been tidied under the hood so it takes up less space on your phone. Your receipts, settings and everything else stay exactly as they were.

Vegvísir 1.4.16 — the maps zoom, and come back after you lose coverage

Every map now pinches to zoom and drags to pan — ride routes included — with + / − buttons big enough for gloves. And if the signal drops and a map goes black, the app says so and offers Try again, instead of staying black until you restart it.

Smiðja — a new build for the testers

The testers got a new build in September: the bike’s registration number and a card with its facts, and every service interval and part can now be tapped and edited in place. Still in closed testing, still looking for people who ride — read about it here.

Taxi Travel Iceland — a website, not an app this time

A small, fast site for a family-run taxi in Iceland: fixed-price airport transfers and day tours, booking by form or WhatsApp, no cookies and no tracking — built the way the apps are. See it at taxitravel-iceland.com.

August 2026

Smiðja — a fourth app, and it needs testers

A garage log for motorcyclists: service history, intervals, parts wear, fuel and the Nordic winter, all on your own phone. It is finished and in closed testing — Google Play asks for twelve testers over fourteen days before an app like this can be released. If you ride, read about it here.

Kvitro 1.3.1 — the PDF card opens the PDF

A receipt scanned from a PDF showed a card for the document, and tapping it did nothing. It now opens the PDF in your phone's own viewer, where you can read it, zoom in and share it like any other file.

Vegvísir 1.4.7 — more reliable search for nearby places

Searches for food stops, fuel stations, sights and services could sometimes come back empty — one of the two map data servers had gone silent. It has been removed, and the app now retries when a server stumbles. Thanks to the rider in Greece who reported it.

Kvitro 1.3 — ReceiptVault has a new name

Same app, new Nordic name: kvittering (receipt) + ro (calm). A new icon on your phone — everything else exactly where you left it: receipts, warranties and your purchase included.

Kvitro 1.2 — a new look, and receipts shared straight from email

The app now wears the studio's colors: deep forest green and gold, easier on the eyes and quicker to read. You can share a PDF from Gmail or any other app straight into Kvitro instead of hunting for it in the file picker. Currency now follows your language unless you pick one yourself, and unlimited scanning stays unlocked when you are offline.

Kvitro 1.1 — now you can scan PDF receipts from email

Order confirmations that arrive by email no longer need printing or photographing: tap Import PDF, pick the file, and the AI fills in store, date, total and items exactly as it does from a photo. Also in this release: the Scan button no longer hangs if the purchase service is slow to answer.

Kvitro 1.0 is live on Google Play

Our third app is out: scan receipts with AI, track warranties with expiry reminders, and search by store, item or category — in five languages. Your first 10 AI scans are free; one small one-time purchase unlocks unlimited scanning. Get it on Google Play.

Vegvísir 1.4.6 — language polish across the app

Emergency instructions, weather terms and dozens of other texts reviewed and corrected in Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, with clearer, more consistent wording on the trip screen — and a few small fixes in the English texts too.

Vegvísir 1.4.5 — distances you can trust

Nearby places are measured from where you are now — not from where you last searched, so no more '300 m' to somewhere you left behind an hour ago. A saved ride now says if part of its distance was guessed across a gap in the tracking, and starting a ride warns you if background location is off instead of quietly recording less than the whole trip.

July 2026

Vegvísir 1.4.4 — top speed is real now

Saved rides missed every speed measured while the screen was off, so a fast ride could save with a walking-pace max. Fixed — the whole ride counts now. And places with no name in OpenStreetMap no longer show up as 'POI'.

Vegvísir 1.4.3 — accurate rides, farther-reaching search

Saved ride distances are accurate again, and the screen you knew as Rider HQ is now called Vegvísir. Searches look much farther afield where places are sparse — and when a search fails, the app says so and shows your latest results instead of pretending the area is empty.

1001 Excuses now speaks Danish and Swedish

Danish and Swedish join English, Norwegian and Icelandic — every excuse, now in five languages. Every SassaGold app speaks all five.

Kvitro — our third app is coming

Scan receipts with AI, track your warranties, and get reminded before they expire. In final testing now — join the waiting list to be first in line.

Vegvísir 1.4.1 — location fixed, and better privacy

Location is working again — a bug had stopped Rider HQ, nearby searches, trip logging and SOS from finding your position. Also in this release: recorded rides now stay entirely on your phone, fewer third-party servers see your searches, and the header tagline speaks your language.

Vegvísir 1.3.0 — Nordic makeover + MC Season

A brand-new Nordic Aurora look across every screen — plus the new MC Season companion: winter-storage and spring-prep checklists, multi-bike support, and per-country inspection reminders so you never miss a deadline.

1001 Excuses 1.1.0 — the big refresh

Hundreds of brand-new excuses in all three languages, never the same excuse twice in a row, and a smoother experience on small screens.

sassagold.com gets a new home page

The site is now the studio's home base — all our apps, one place. You're looking at it.
